Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's location is excellent for busy travelers wanting to explore Barcelona quickly. The rooms, while offering an upgrade to a better room with twin beds, were small and lacked natural light, with a slight smell of cigarette smoke lingering. The service provided was very helpful and lovely, making our stay more pleasant. The dining options were limited and basic, not offering cooked food as expected, but the French toasts were a nice touch.
I don't even know where to start with this hotel! The room where the drinks vending machine is, which apparently doubles as the breakfast area, is just dreary. It's so noisy being right on Ramblas, the air conditioning was a plug-in unit that barely worked, and there were massive pipes and bottles behind it. To top it off, it sat perched on a box for 'better air con reach'—not a pleasant sight. The room looked dated, the air con was either scorching hot or freezing cold with no in-between, and it definitely needs a modern touch. Maybe having a kettle in the rooms would make a difference.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were noisy all night and had some cracks in the floor, but on the bright side, I had a balcony with a great view of Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, offering me a fan to deal with the warm room. The central location was perfect for a busy traveler like me, right on La Rambla and next to a metro station. The dining options were not extensive, but the continental breakfast was decent. Overall, a decent stay but with some room for improvement.
I found the hotel to be quite cosy and very much in the middle of the city. Despite the fabulous location, it was very clean, had what we needed, and the breakfast buffet hit the spot. The service was so friendly and helpful among themselves, and they were very friendly, remembering us each time we came back or left the hotel, which was amazing. The location was superb, in the center of the city and very close to Plaza Cataluyna. The dining options were continental with a reasonable choice, and sometimes my favorite Spanish Tortilla was very nice.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. On the bright side, the room's furniture and bathroom were slightly better than expected. The room was hot but surprisingly quiet as it wasn't facing the street, however, it was really small with hardly any space to move around.
Although the room was small and had a terrible smell from the interior window, feeling a bit cramped like a hostel, it did offer a balcony overlooking the plaza, but cleanliness was an issue. The staff was very friendly and helpful with directions, but there were concerns regarding communication barriers for non-Spanish speakers, especially in smoky environments. The hotel's location was perfect for accessing main attractions easily, although being sandwiched between fast-food chains may not appeal to everyone. The dining experience was average, with OK food served in a charmless atmosphere.
The hotel is perfectly located just off La Ramblas and Placa Catalunya, making it very convenient to visit many places. The rooms are small but great for a comfortable stay, although they are tiny and couldn't fit a table on the balcony. The hotel staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly, always attentive to guests' needs. The dining experience offers a wide choice but can be pricey if you don't have a huge appetite. The location enables easy access around the city, right in the heart of the bustling Las Ramblas area.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were extremely dated and had some decay, with amenities that didn't quite meet the standard. The room temperature was challenging to control, and the fan provided little relief, making the hallway feel colder. On the bright side, the service was fantastic, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff providing a speedy and pleasant experience. The location was excellent, close to the Metro and La Rambla, which was perfect for a solo traveler like me. However, the dining options were a bit limited, and the price was on the higher side if you didn't have a huge appetite.
The hotel's location is perfect for city exploring right beside Plaza Cataluña where Las Ramblas meets. The service was friendly with staff remembering us each time, though language barriers could pose a challenge. The dining options were basic, but with many local eateries nearby. The rooms were very basic and dated, suitable for one person only, lacking in modern amenities.
My stay at the hotel was a bit mixed. While the location was superb, with easy access to the Gothic Quarter and La Rambla, the rooms felt a bit cramped and outdated, like a hostel. The staff, however, were extremely friendly and helpful. The dining options were limited, and the facilities were basic.
The hotel is right in the heart of the city, but the rooms are cozy despite the noisy street and broken floor tiles. The service is friendly and helpful, although non-Spanish speakers might face challenges. The location is ideal for exploring the city, but the winding staircase can be a hassle. The dining offers traditional Spanish food but lacks cooked options. Overall, a decent value for money stay.
I stayed at this hotel, and it’s in a really central location near Las Ramblas and Catalunya Square, making it super convenient. The room I had was tiny and on the fifth floor, and sharing a bathroom with two other rooms wasn't ideal. However, the service was fantastic, especially for the La Liga match debut, and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
